performance and it is easy to see why PLV-Z5 is one of the hottest
projectors on the market! Would this projector be right for

Video Performance. The PLV-Z5 accepts all standard TV and
HDTV formats including 480i, 480p, 575i, 575p, 720p, 1035i, 1080i,
1080p/50, 1080p/60 restores anamorphic recordings to their proper aspect ratio, and is
compatible with all of the world's video systems including NTSC, NTSC
4.43, PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N and SECAM. 10,000:1 contrast ratio is made possible through the use of an automatic iris for the lens and another for the lamp. Other important features include
12-bit digital image processing, 3D color management,
proprietary digital progressive scanning with motion detection algorithm
and digital signal processing to improve image edge detail. A
super-quiet (22 dBA in Eco mode) fan lets you listen to the movie . . .
not the projector.
Connectivity. The PLV-Z5 offers (2) 3-RCA Component Video
input (Y, Cb/Cr, Pb/Pr), (1) Composite Video input, (1) S-Video input, and
(2) HDMI digital video inputs.
Remote. The PLV-Z5's backlit IR remote lets you access menus, select sources, and freeze or mute the picture - even in the dark!
Versatility. This projector operates from any line voltage
between 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz with auto sense and auto select. It can
project from a table top, upside-down from a ceiling, in front of or
behind the screen, direct projection, or with the image reflected from a
mirror.
Manual Lens Shift (Up/Down/Left/Right). The lens
shift feature - sometimes called optical keystone correction - allows the
projector to be placed anywhere within its offset range without distorting
the image. Unlike digital keystone correction, which does the same thing
electronically, the manual lens shift feature leaves no digital
artifacts.
Zoom Lens. This projector comes with a manual zoom lens that
is perfect for most applications. The projection distance should be
between 1.35 and 2.7 times the screen width. Minimum image size 30"
diagonal; maximum size 200" diagonal.
3-Year Warranty. You will receive the full three year U.S.
factory warranty covering labor, materials and shipping on everything but
the lamp which is covered by a 90 day warranty. In the unlikely
event that the projector ever needs service, Sanyo will have the projector
picked up at your door and sent via next day air to Sanyo's repair
facility. After it is repaired - in no more than three business days
- it will be returned to you via next day air.
